All that Glitters...and Glows!

This isn't news to anyone who has known me since college...but I am absolutely enthralled by glitter. Every morning I powder my face with my dazzling glitter mineral powder my Gift Giving Grinch gave me...and it just makes me sigh with happiness. I don't know what it is about glitter that is so appealing but it just equals nirvana to me. Glitter is just so entrancing. It's all this sparkle in a little bottle that you can unleash on various regions of your body...for whatever reason you may want to!

In college I applied a fine glitter to my face, arms, and neck before going out and about...the sparkle and shine was so appealing...you'd think I would be one of those people diving in wishing wells for pennies (BUT, I would do that for completely DIFFERENT reasons...the need to pay bills, buy a taco from T Bell, just because I can) I would meet people and not always get introduced or make it to introductions...so I was given the nickname Sparkles by my friend Meathead. The nickname completely stuck and I was known as Sparkles through my entire college career. Now, for a girl who adores glitter, this was THE nickname to have. I even had my nickname as a part of a Trivia team name...the 10 Inch (Expletive Missing) Club with Sparkles. Now how's that for glamorous? (Umm...that is sarcasm in there...in case you were wondering.)

I still love covering myself in glitter or shimmer or shine, although I have pulled back due to the professional setting I am in...and I have developed an addiction to glow bracelets (6 bracelets in a pack for $1.00 at the Dollar Tree in Plover...how can you go wrong?). So now my sincere wish for my 30th birthday is this...I would like a birthday party that has the theme of "Glitter and Glow"...can you imagine how SPECTACULAR that would be!?! Now, my friends, take that theme and run with it...I want to hear your ideas for party favors, decorations, invitations, games, my outfit...and, of course, Perry's outfit!

Even my dad called & still calls you Sparkles! I have lots of ideas- but I think they should be discussed over bottles (yes, plural)of wine at girls weekend!
